Frederick C. Miller, grandson of Frederick J. Miller, founder of Miller beer, was the first brewery president to see the financial symbiosis between beer and sports and thanks to him you can enjoy a cold Miller beer at a football game.
He helped to fund the Green Bay Packers when the team was struggling financially and to this day Miller is the largest stockholder of the team.
He also brought baseball to Milwaukee, paying to relocate the Braves from Boston in 1953.
Sadly Frederick C. Miller died in a plane crash with his son while on the way to a Winnipeg hunting trip in 1954.
